Digital Albums


Photos will be delivered as albums on DVD. A copy will also be hosted on our website for six months.
Album Description Usage
High resolution web album on disc (CD/DVD) 10 megapixel images, auto-resizable to fit web browser window. Viewable on PC (Windows, Macintosh, Linux), with quick-access thumbnails and automatic slideshow.

 This is the basic source album for long term storage, used to make prints and the other albums.
Photo slideshow on DVD Standard DVD movie, playable on DVD players. Display on TV.
Web album on Internet Password-protected HTML album hosted on Internet for six months. Simple, anyone-can-use design. For quick and easy sharing of photos with family and friends, including those overseas. Password protected for privacy.

Process

(1) Preliminary consultation via email or telephone. We can reserve the event date for 30 days, pending confirmation of the booking.

(2) Face to face exploratory meeting, with viewing of sample albums. Discussion of expectations, concerns, requirements, styles, special requests. No payment or obligation from client.

(3) Confirmation booking with payment of deposit (within 30 days of initial contact).

(5) Photo selection and editing

  • After the event, photos are selected for use. Typically only 25% to 50% of the photos will be selected (multiple photos of the same scene are taken to guard against people blinking, focus or camera shake issues). Clients may also choose to look through the raw photos and make their own selection.
  • Photos are checked individually and corrected for colour balance and exposure if required.
  • Photos are cropped to reduce distracting background details, for a clean uncluttered look, if required

(6) Full payment with delivery of preview digital album

  • Preview digital album is sent to client for approval and final selection (clients may choose to remove or change the sequence of photos from the album)
(7) Final delivery
  • Final digital albums are delivered to client. Clients may also choose to keep a copy of the raw, unselected and unedited photos.
  • Clients can print photos at photo lab of their choice, using the delivered digital albums. Alternatively, we can handle the printing, at cost (we will charge for standard photo lab printing costs only).

Terms and Conditions


  • There will be no charges for other items (e.g. transportation, reprint or digital duplication).
  • Five Rings Photography and its photographers will not use the photographs in any public forum (e.g. website) without permission from the client.
  • Client is responsible for finding out if there are any restrictions on photography at the venues, and to communicate these restrictions to the photographer.
  • Deposit of half total price to be paid upon confirmation of booking.
  • Photographer will try to accommodate any change of date of the event, subject to availability. If the photographer is not available on the new date, it will be considered a cancellation by the client, and the deposit forfeited.
  • Deposit will not be returned if the client cancels the photography service contract.
  • Remaining payment to be made upon delivery of preview digital album to client
  • Preview album to be delivered to client not more than 14 days after date of event.
  • Two cameras will be used alternately, to guard against equipment failure. However this does not provide 100 percent guarantee that all, or any, photos will be delivered.
  • In all cases, maximum liability is limited to double money back guarantee.
  • No fixed number of photographs. Depends on events on the day, according to the photographer's discretion.
  • Photographer will accommodate requests to take specific photos, subject to practicality and available time.
  • Photographs will be cropped and edited for brightness, colour; according to the judgment of the photographer.
  • Client has rights to make unlimited digital copies and prints of the photographs without additional payment.
